Role Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for the design, development, and implementation of systems and databases to access and store network inventory data to support Intrepid’s network build across various markets. Intrepid utilizes VETRO to store all network data. This role will survey, read, and interpret maps, manipulate and understand digital land data, and manage data entered in a GIS database. This position requires an understanding of the complexities of system architecture and the integration of multiple operating systems across the OSS/BSS structure.
Responsibilities:
Review and validate address data related to network plans received from various sources to ensure households are accounted for accurately
Review and update data collected from construction and operations to ensure it follows Intrepid’s evolving schema.
Review existing or incoming data for accuracy, usefulness, quality, or completeness
Utilize GIS tools to produce, display, and analyze spatial information, as well as develop and maintain databases, reports, and map displays
Create, organize, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes
Perform quality assurance and field auditing as required of GIS data and associated components
Use concepts, practices, and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients
Define and assure consistency with company standards and practices for data retention, data maintenance, and upgrades
Provide technical support to users regarding maintenance, development, and operation of GIS databased, equipment or applications, and maintain an effective and frequent line of communication amongst team members and clients
Engage in data collection, creation, conversion, and editing
Custom GIS development and automation utilizing API’s and scripts
Update and develop processes for tracking data and addresses utilizing Excel, Site Tracker and other applications
Creating and presenting status updates to leadership as needed via Power Point, Excel or other applications.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years experience in a related field and position.
Strong background in GIS and inventory systems.
Understanding of outside plant and inside plant networks related to FTTH preferred.
BA/BS degree with related field of study preferred.
Experience in VETRO, Site Tracker, Salesforce and ServiceNow would be a plus.
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS products and/or related experience in similar systems
Experience with Fiber inventory systems, such as 3GIS, GE Smallworld, and VETRO FiberMap
General system knowledge in Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), and presentation software (PowerPoint).
