Job Description
As a member of this team you will contribute to CDM Smith's success by;
-Working at our client site leading teams to implement moderate to highly complex GIS and technology solutions. -This includes the implementation of GIS technology solutions, as well as complementary systems including business analytics, maintenance and asset management, and modeling environments.
-Develops appropriate system architectures and leads key implementation tasks. Support business process modeling and technology evaluation.
-Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff. Mentors junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
-Supervises the work of junior staff on project work.
-Conceptualizes and designs databases and technology environments of high complexity including designs that incorporate spatial data and integrate with 3rd party applications.
-Leads business process modeling related to GIS database design and supports the development of GIS-based system architecture plans including development of recommendations for GIS, hardware, software, geodatabase design, and enterprise geodatabase implementation. These include complex system architectures that integrate GIS with 3rd party applications, such as modeling software or CMMS.
-Designs and develops methods and processes for solving complex geospatial problems. This may include the use of advanced data analysis, machine learning, and modeling techniques and directing junior staff in the execution of advanced spatial analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography, Science, Engineering, Planning, Mathematics or Government or related discipline. Certified GIS Professional (GISP) status, a Master’s degree in one of the fields listed above or has certification in another field (e.g., Professional Engineer’s license).
-10 years of progressively responsible experience applying GIS technology.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
-Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
-10+ years’ experience in GIS and transportation databases, and 5+ years’ experience in Project Management and Staff Management.
-Master’s Degree or Certification as a GIS Professional preferred.
-Knowledge of FDOT policies, procedures, and standards.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information
CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
