Because of our growth, Woolpert seeks a Geospatial Analyst to work onsite at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida.

Analyst will be part of a fast-paced team developing and executing geospatial solutions for the US Air Force GeoBase program. GeoBase analysts are expected to create and update base maps in coordination with the installation Civil Engineering Squadron Geospatial Integration Office (GIO). The analyst will support the base with Esri ArcGIS desktop and enterprise solutions to meet installation GeoBase program requirements, working in an Agile project management environment.

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active Tier 1 Investigation (National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI), or security clearance, or the ability to pass a Tier 1 Investigation.
    • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Extensive knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities:
    • Two (2) years of experience using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) or ArcGIS Pro
    • Two (2) years of experience using ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
  • Two (2) years of experience in a role requiring:
    • Excellent communication and consulting skills with emphasis on client and team member engagement
    • Proven experience providing excellent customer service
    • Strong technical proficiency using Microsoft Office products
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a dynamic working environment
    • Attention to detail - proven experience meeting data quality assurance and accuracy standards
    • Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and as a member of a large organization
    • Ability to offer constructive feedback and problem solving, as well as clear direction to support goals

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) GIS data standard or other defined spatial data model.
  • Experience with Oracle databases, database management software, or SQL
  • Proficiency with Esri ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, or ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Proficiency using ArcGIS Data Reviewer extension
  • Proficiency in processing and using geospatial imagery and LiDAR data
  • Experience with Agile project management methodology using Atlassian or similar platforms
  • Experience in enterprise GIS
  • Experience with DoD geospatial data and systems

Responsibilities:

Mission: Deliver Trusted Geospatial Engineering Data, Maps, and Services

  • Create and maintain Air Force Civil Engineering GIS data in an enterprise environment, managing a versioned, multi-user geodatabase
  • Perform data quality assurance and control (QA/QC), ensuring compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense geospatial data standards
  • Create, update, and produce a variety of installation, range, and vicinity maps, drawings, plans, and other graphic representations using cartographic techniques to represent spatial data
  • Work closely with end users in the Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) GeoBase office (GIO) and other base organizations to identify and satisfy GIS requirements, technical issues, and training needs
  • Utilize the GeoBase Agile framework to enable task visibility and project transparency to the client:
    • Use Agile platform (Jira, Confluence) to record all processes and tasks, and manage all projects
  • Update detailed continuity folder for Tyndall AFB, documenting current installation-specific workflows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and GeoBase program functional processes to ensure sustained and reliable operations
  • Provide end user support and training on GIS data stewardship, ArcGIS applications, SDSFIE data model, GEOMAP capabilities, and GeoBase program objectives
  • Coordinate and execute GIS data submissions and requests to authorized stakeholders and mission partners, including disaster response and emergency mapping and analysis support
  • Create and maintain installation and AF enterprise geospatial metadata
  • Perform complex GIS data analysis, extraction (digitization), and geocoding processes
  • Integrate geospatial imagery, LiDAR, survey, and field collected data into the GeoBase enterprise
  • Migrate or convert legacy GIS, CAD, non-spatial, and tabular data to GeoBase standards
  • Analyze current processes and recommend improvements or other best practice solutions
  • Maintain data for archival storage, record keeping, and inventory of source data and maps
  • Work with GeoBase Portal content managers to create or improve Tyndall AFB data and geoprocessing services for enterprise availability to all GEOMAP users
