Job Description: Aviation Readiness GIS Specialist
Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking an Aviation Readiness GIS Specialist to provide supportive services for our government client. This position is on-site.
The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:
- Develop, prepare, and present GIS-related products (such as maps, charts, graphs, etc.) to analyze the Aviation force.
- Coordinate with GIS staff from other Divisions to develop future GIS capabilities to meet the clientβs requirements.
- Provide GIS training and technical assistance to staff.
- Develop and maintain Database Management Systems (DBMS) and databases on aviation assets, including rotary and fixed wing aircraft, to translate data into GIS products (maps, charts, graphs).
- Import data into Microsoft Access using SharePoint for use at the national level in managing Aviation assets.
- Manage, improve, design, and maintain the clientβs website content using the most current version of SharePoint.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
- Expert knowledge of GIS software, including ESRI ArcGIS software and extensions, ArcSDE, Spatial Data Standards (SDS) requirements, and the development/implementation of an Enterprise GIS system.
- Working knowledge of ESRI ArcIMS, Visual Basic for Applications, and Microsoft Access.
- Ability to stay current with the technology and tools required to work within the ARNG Common Development Environment.
- Experience providing GIS input to government programs and projects.
